About Us

Sayan Bhandari

I founded Hidden Heroes Society to bring greater awareness, understanding, and support to people affected by serious health challenges. I have been inspired by the courage of patients, caregivers, physicians, researchers, and advocates, and I wanted to create a way for students to learn from their experiences while also finding meaningful ways to help.

I am a student at Indian Hill High School with strong interests in science, medicine, technology, and service. Through Hidden Heroes Society, I hope to connect students with healthcare experts, amplify the voices of patients and families, create meaningful volunteer opportunities, and build relationships with organizations working to improve the lives of people affected by disease.

Most of all, I hope HHS can help students recognize the many “hidden heroes” around us and inspire them to make a positive difference in their own communities.

Katherine Song

I’m Katherine, a student at Indian Hill High School and the VP of Chapter Development & Engagement of Hidden Heroes Society. As a part of HHS, I am passionate about recognizing people who act as important figures in our community. Through HHS, I hope to bring students together to serve each other, raise awareness about important health issues, support disease research, and honor the hidden heroes who make a difference every day.

Ridisha Thawrani

I’m Ridisha, a student at Indian Hill High School and the Director of Communications & Storytelling for Hidden Heroes Society. I’m passionate about using storytelling and communication to bring attention to the people and experiences that often go unseen. Through HHS, I hope to share meaningful patient and caregiver stories, highlight the work of hidden heroes, and help connect students and the broader community with important health-related causes. I’m excited to help HHS grow its voice, reach, and impact through thoughtful storytelling and communication.
